Interesting choice of aircraft. Overall I think you had a great line up, however, you should slow your approach speed to 150 knots once you are on short final. Spoiler's should not be deployed whilst in the air. It was they (spoilers) that caused your hard landing. Have you tryed ILS landings? If you havn't and/or don't know how to do them, I will be happy to send you a tutorial. Great first landing. Happy flying!

in real life that aircraft would have fell apart upon touchdown

ur thrust dont idle so fast...spoilers, not so up...flaps at 1:15 should be around 30-45...already.
