This video shows the compact lighting kit we use to take on-location portraits at our university. The second part of the video concludes with photos taken with this lighting kit. I have a complete list of the kit on my blog Rear Curtain Sync at http://rcsync.blogspot.com/

  • What setup did you use during those class scenes.

I saw how you hooked up the remove flashes in the tent - by the way, how were they triggered? Did you have two pocket wizards, on on each, or did you just put one pocket wizard on one of them, and have the other fire as a slave?

My problem is to find another triger for the pocket wizards, other than another pocket wizard. I heard you can use the light meter by ---, to fire the camera, equiped with PW on CH1, to fire the remote flashes.

  • If you want to trigger two strobes, you'll need to set up zip line between the two.

When connecting two lights to zip line, turn them both on and then connect one and then the other. If the second light causes the other one to trip, you have a polarity issue and would need to invert the electrical connection on one end. If you polarity is correct, you will need to use an adatap to connect the PW to the middle of the zip line. This is similar to how SI lights sports arenas with Speedotrons.

  • nice video.

what's the name of the last song in the video

    thanks

  • actually, the music comes with an Apple computer. I don't recall what it's called. I made the video this summer and haven't looked at the original materials since then.
