To boost productivity in difficult trenching conditions, Vermeer introduces the patent-pending TrenchSense™ electronic control system. Sometimes when a large rock is encountered, the trencher chain can stop, causing a sudden drop in engine speed. With many systems, such a drop in engine speed results in an engine stop. But with the TrenchSense system when a sudden drop in engine speed is sensed, the TrenchSense system immediately pauses forward AutoCreep and forward trencher-chain motion is stopped. The tractor backs up slightly, freeing the trencher chain from the face of the trench to allow the engine to regain the previously set engine speed.
