  • what kind(company) of outfit is he wearing?

  • He is wearing an outfit from PamSD

  • God I'm screwed. My BJD has tender eyes, so they are half way closed sort of. It's going to be such a pain in the ass to get my new eyelashes on.

    .__.

  • Someone recommended using a needle or straight pin to help. I think maybe you may want to use very little glue to get them in position and then carefully add more from the inside to secure them. It's only the tiniest bit more difficult (I've done it to a nanuri07 head 4 times and those are some tiny eyeholes)

  • Ah okay. What glue should I use though? I forgot to buy some glue when I ordered the eyelashes.

    x.x

  • You're really good with just about any white glue. Even elmers school glue does just as fine as Aileene's (which is what i use)

  • Well what you do for MSD dolls is you get the human lashes that are smaller towards the ends. I used the halves with the smaller ends and it looks gorgeous on my doll. It flares out on the outsides of her eyes and it's quite decent. If all else fails, you could always trim the lashes themselves.

  • Love the shirt!

  • Do you think if I were to get those kinds of eyelashes for an MSD and clipped them to look a little less "foosh" as you said. xD That they would look okay on her? I'm not sure if my doll will come with eyelashes since I'm buying her as a "fullset" and all it really says is that it'll have clothes, eyes, wig, and makeup. Nothing about eyelashes though. D:

  • Taking the head off with the forceps and using it to clamp on the stringing itself is something that I did not think of. I'm glad I watched this video because normally I use pliers to pull the S-hook up, twist it, and let the neck support it, but I recently noticed that constant removal has led to some of the resin "giving way" a bit and was looking for a way to remove the head without relying on the neck to support everything. Thank you! :D

Er, I'll just stick to the 27cm dolls unless I become extremely rich. -_- lol xD

  • @candyxxx2006 Most welcome, and yeah, there is a 40cm doll I want that is only $200 less than a 70cm doll I have on layaway now, and the big dolly comes with a whole bunch of epic stuff (Dollzone's Limited Asura). Asura will be $800, and my other two BJDs are 15-16cm that ran me $100 and $145. It really does depend on the company, pricewise. But ah well, such is the life of dollydom. XD

  • Wow... He is a very beautiful doll there.

I want one sooo bad... I can't buy one, so I'm going to try making one.

  • You can remove the annoying adhesive that sticks the eyelashes to the card with a product called Goo Gone. Great tutorial!

  • @tirsden

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. There are 2 forum boards I signed up with, & I've seen the list of EVERY company out there! It's very overwhelming!! And expensive? I knew about that part when I've seen that it can cost $600-$800 just for 1 blank dol! O.O I'll stick with the 27cm for a while! xD lol
