Oh what a year brings. As I said last year - inflation and higher unemployment. My life has been under assault so I have not been able to post in a while. But I must say it's amazing what one little year does to politics. Can't wait for 11/2010 - TEA PARTY EXPRESS here we come !!!!

I don't see anything wrong with raising taxes on cigarettes. Maybe it'll get poorer people (since you seem to think they are the only ones who smoke) to quit smoking because it's too expensive. God forbid we don't have cigarette companies anymore *rolling eyes*

The Bush tax cuts were for the RICH. Remember the "Trickle down theory"? How well did that work?

Obama tax cut = $12 this year / $8 next year per person.

Obama has already overseen the cigarette tax raise packs by $1. How many poor people smoke more than 12 packs a year?

Oh and he's already gotten rid of the Bush tax cuts that bought the average American hundres of dollars of products and services.

You do the math:

$12 - $1 (per pack cigs) + $100s in Bush Tax Cut money = Americans Got JACKED...

Didn't I say all politicians play the political game? No duh he's going to give money to some of his friends so that they'll help him and support him in the coming years. But I also think that President Obama actually cares about the average person which is why he's giving back a bit and cutting income taxes for middle class/lower class people and giving states billions to fix their education programs and such.

Barack Obama is not happy to pass the 800 Billion bailout money because he wants to save America. . . he is happy because he will put a big chunk of that money in his frends` pockets and give them ability to wield political power. In return they will give him HIS share of money and power.
