I've been around for a few years, and have personally noticed that in the past, most atheists seemed to keep their atheism hidden. In more recent times, the atheists have become more militant and more vocal, and I have now noticed that ever since the atheists have been coming out of the closet that they have earned for their selves the reputation of being the least trusted minority group. I'm not making that up - you can google "atheists least trusted" and see for yourself.

@BT3701 First, I don't know any militant atheists. As far as I know there are no atheists going around shooting Christians or even advocating such things. Second, I've been an atheist long before the so called "New Atheist" movement. we have always been the least trusted minority. The difference now is that atheists have stepped forward and become targets. Before we were hidden targets. Studies have shown that the more we are visible the more likable we become. So come out and be counted!

@DangerousTalk Who mentioned anything about shootings? I certainly didn't. Secondly, Could you please give me the sources of those studies you mentioned.

@BT3701 You talked about militant atheists and I don't think there are very many... if any. Second, YouTube doesn't allow links. So you will have to google it yourself. But they aren't hard to find so I don't think you'll have much of a problem.

@DangerousTalk Well, I did Google it and came up with zero hits, therefore I can only assume it's untrue, and that you seem to be misinformed.
