Hell, I'M a huge Buffy fanboy and I don't read the comics, they're complete shit. No offense, Joss, but S8 blew it in a big way. Complete sacrifice of character continuity and logical development for cheap plot moments, mecha Dawn, centaur Dawn, 50-foot-tall Dawn, bringing back THE MASTER (seriously, did they run out of villains?)-it's retarded. Even if S9 is perfect it can't repair that damage.

Buffy ended at S7, and that's just the way it should be.

this is just my oppinion. I'm a lesbian n a HUGE Buffy fan and I got 1 thing to say, Buffy is the straightest girl ever. In all 7 seasons I never once got a gay vibe from the character. There was "subtext" between Buffy and Faith, but in my oppinion Faith would have been down with it in a minute but Buffy, NOWAY.She likes the boys too much for that. Buffy is STRAIGHT, how else can you explain Riley? Joss won't admit it, but the lesbian stuff in the comic was for publicity.

I can understand Willow being gay.

It would be understandable if Andrew, Xander and/or Faith was gay/bi.

But Buffy? No, she's just too straight. Making her gay would be like making Oz or Anya gay - I just can't see it. The comics ruin everything...

The only time this storyline would've made sense is if it were written with Faith.... for obvious reasons lol. You can't deny there was sexual tension there, the writers, Joss & Eliza even admitted this.

Other than that, when the hell would this make any sense? It just seems so forced & out of chracter. Idk, just my opinion though.

But the slayer on slayer action would've been interesting with Fuffy....

ok just like her I never kept up with the comics, this is the first I heard of that, haha she was about as confused and surprised, as me, she thought it was Willow and so did I! lol. It's just wrong though Buffy with girls, although there was a point where I did think her and Faith would have a ONS in the TV series, lol.

@RikkWolf I will lose respect for Joss Whedon's twisted interpritation of the character he himself created, but never the character itself. Buffy is an incredibly complex character with so many layers. After having read the the comic I simply had to make a decision to accept that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" had it's real and true end at the end of "Chosen".Yes the character was reffered to in Angel afterwards but if we only got it from Andrew "the teller of tales" and we know he fibs.

Very absurd place to take the character, Joss, and a very thinly veiled sales ploy at the expense of the character's integrity and maturity. Misogamy masked as feminism.

I do not understand the forced and out of character things he often does with Buffyverse characters' sexuality, especially toward the end of the shows' runs or in the comics (RATINGS! SALES!). Probably why I tuned out pretty hardcore. Anyone thinking it's anything other than for rating or sales is a naive pollyanna.

@pomegranateish while I didn't like the main story lines of season 6 or 7 at all, season 5's ending seemed rushed. Plus, if it had ended there, we wouldn't have had some amazing episodes like "Once more with feeling".

btw all i dont care that she with a women kind of made me sound like i was . just with it seeming so out of left feild with that chater though she didnt do too well with the guys so i hope buffy can find ture love with whatevre her name . love how during the actuel thing michelle was like " great give dawn more to deal with ." poor dawnie but hey you got xander who i loved so no more wineying .
