Coheed & Cambria "Devil in Jersey City"

My slideshow-style interpretation of Coheed & Cambria's "Devil in Jersey City". It seems so many people love this band, due to their utter terrificness, however not many people realize there is a story, THE SAME STORY, going on throughout their music.

Basically, I just slapped together the song and snips of both the early issues of The Amory Wars and both issues of The Second Stage Turbine Blade to help you, my fellow Coheedandcambriologists, better understand this early part of the story.

I had such a good time making this video (didn't even take that long), so if i get some good feedback to this video, I got my next idea already working. **Check out the end of this video for a sneak peek!**

All images used come from the first volume of the Amory Wars, written by Claudio Sanchez and illustrated by Gus Vasquez, as well as both issue 1&2 of The Second Stage Turbine Blade, written by Claudio and illustrated by Wes Abbott.

This is AWESOME! PLEASE do more. I'm trying SO hard to understand the story 100% but i keep getting confused and there isn't a website or anything that explains it clearly, so PLEASE make more! Great job!!! :)

good job. however, the poisoning of Matthew and Mariah take place in "Time Consumer" and Josephine being beaten with a hammer is in "Everything Evil". but overall fucking fantastic

I never said the song was JUST about rape.

The person who replied to me said that this video couldn't help but be focussed on rape because "in this case [the story behind it] was Josephine getting raped by the Jersey City Devils" (and apparently you'd disagree with them).

This was all in response to me congratulating the makers of this video and expressing interest in seeing another video, this time for a C&C song where rape isn't such a central theme.

it's deep and dark and it has no single sided spectrum

it's not soley meant to inspire and it's not soley meant to do one particular thing to the reader

it's mean to invoke allot of feelings and thoughts to the readers.

what a bonus you get this sickly rich dark comic and then have music to compliment it

it's claudios open palette.

but it's these very things he injected into the story not just to spice it up

it's not even about " ENTERTAINMENT " it's eye opening and it melts hearts

it's meant to make you cry and it's meant to connect to people who have a good conscience

and know these very tragic things go on every day in our world

in a way it's inspiring people to stand up against these things.
