In which Hilary rants about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince getting pushed back to July 17th, and how crazy Twilight fans are. Gah the HP trailer already came out and EVERYTHING!

there actually are A LOT of Twilight fans. more than you would generally think. but i do agree w/ you; some people in this fandom are insane and they need to just calm down when it comes to twilight vs. hp.

Oh trust me, I know how many fans of Twilight there are. I went to the panel at comic con and heard the screaming. What I mean is that it still is not as large of a fan base as Harry Potter is. It's getting there, but it doesn't seem likely that it'll reach as high of a number of readers. HP is pretty dang huge everywhere.

Twilight is ridiculous. My cousin tried to get me to read the books, but I just couldn't drum up enough energy to care about the characters and what happened to them. Harry Potter catches my attention, because it's not a romance novel of supernatural proportions. Reading a Harry Potter novel is like diving into a hair raising adventure with mystery around every corner and witty dialogue coming out of every mouth. In my personal opinion, Harry Potter pwns Twilight any day.

I must agree. Twilight is just dumb, in my opinion. I dislike them. Harry Potter is definately better than Twilight. Seriously. Twilight fans are insane. Literally. I have five ridiculous girls in my fifth block class that look up nothing but twilight on the computers and jump all over me for being a Harry Potter fan. Whatev. LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!

I still go see the Harry Potter movies, but I stopped caring after the second one. The first two were AMAZING, and John Williams did the music, John FUCKING Williams, but then they just fell off once they started switching directors. Alfonso is a good director, but the third movie is really bad, and the fourth is just pathetic, the 5th was okay, but not as good as the book. It's disappointing.

But still. I wish they at least stuck with the November/December releases they used to do.

I agree with you about twilight fans. ex:1 of my best friends (been a HP fan since forever; actually got me into the books) read the twilight books, I took her copy of new moon (or whatever the last 1 was) and she nearly bit my head off and grabbed the book back out of my hands!

Wow you're scary when you're angry/annoyed/irritated.

I've just started reading the Twilight series, so as I can see the film after reading the book. I just finished Twilight and it was alright, but I probably interpreted it a bit differently to a lot of other people out there.

Harry Potter was great, especially when I was younger, I think my passion for it has died down somewhat since 2001, but I'm still gonna go see the two (or three?) remaining films.
