The 3rd Infantry Divisions 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.

Now theyre training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.

Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for civil unrest and crowd control.

This is a pile of horse shit !! Only fascist coutries find troops on thier streets. The main job of a soldier is quite simple : make war and KILL PEOPLE". When i hear asshole colonels talk about the military "helpîng" anyone, it makes me puke, because I WAS ONCE A SOLDIER and no damned civillian can tell me what soldiers are not, that is to say "intended to bring peice, stopping suffering and helping others" ! Soldiers=war=trained for killing people !!

I think this is total BS. I'd rather not have troops involved in a real emergency. The only trust I have is that they overreact and cause more problems. Trust people's ability to deal with crisis for themselves.

@petrmoo This doesn't have anything to do with our support of our military. It has to do with them being trained, and ordered to break our laws. In the Posse Comitatus Act our military is breaking the law set in motion to stop it from breaking that very law! This is being done intentionally to strip us of our Constitutional rights. My anger is that 'they' would deceive and use our beloved troops who serve to keep us safe for the opposit. And who are you anyway? You don't sound like an American.

At the end of this clip Col. Boatner states; "...they can deploy in the homeland..." That is all we need tho the rest is scary itself. Posse Comitatus forbids this. I also stand on the U.S. Constitution rather than any changes set in motion to negate it. God bless America. We need to protect our God given rights.
