  • thnx a lot, want to know more about this type of other phone system information, will come back soon on your profile, thanx

  • low voice quality ...better remove your video!

  • @CaputFilms you definitely can.

Your pbx will operate just like intercom system. I often install pbx in large private residences to interconnect rooms, front door and sometimes neighbors.

With NEC DSX pbx you can place a call from any phone to any phone hooked up to the system, leave a message, record custom greetings, setup different rings, play music thru speaker phone, open a front door (assuming you installed hardware) and a lot more. If you'd like to place or receive an outside call then

  • I have no idea about phone systems although i am interested in getting one for my business. Is it possible to get a pbx system to work without the use of an external line....I just need it strictly for internal office to office calls...there is no external phone provider where i want to use this and im not interested in having one even if there was. Thanks in advance.

  • good explanation for people needing the basics

  • I'v been a PABX, PBX and Hybrid systems installer all the way back to 1A key systems and I never had a customer ask me how the phone system works,,, they just told me to fix the problem,,,LOL of course I did.

  • Most people just need a user guide for the phone,,, but nice approach

  • I would like to sell them a 5 group switch with auto attendant and voice mail with, supported by DID lines and T-1. lets put a UPS battery back up system ,,oh something like a 175 KVa and about 10 hours backup. give them dual attendants with Night ringers for after hours and line select call forwarding and wireless station sets. give them off premise notification for voice mail and turn on the SMDR for cost analysis,,, Boy you would think I have done this for the last 25 years..

  • You forgot to mention what happens when someone leaves a person a voicemail when calling in the phone system and Julie doesn't pick up and that now there are only two line they can use ,,

  • This is a good explanation for those who aren't terribly tech savvy.
