It was shot in and around the world's most thought provoking architectural renovation -- the Reichstag's stunning new dome.

In the name of bipartisanship some are now suggesting that the new Democratic Congress should not seriously investigate allegations of criminal activity in the Bush administration. As BERLIN 9-11 demonstrates, despite the discomfort, we must not close our eyes to the past. For as the Russian proverb advises, "Lose one eye if you look at the past. Lose two if you don't."

Thank you for this nice video. It is all to easy for foreigners to go and say "Yes, but that happened THERE ...". There is all that hype going on about the new found national pride in Germany. But I think it is important to remember that the modesty you talk about is in fact very valuable and, I believe, rather uncommon for a nation. It should not fall prey to national pride.

Good point- you Americans as the only superpower (at least for the time being) are the only truly enfranchised voters in terms of the world stage, it would do you and us good to look outside your backyard more. Maybe then those of you who don't vote will, and those who do will bear the rest of us in mind when you go to the ballot.... Thanks in anticipation.
