Halo 3 to Put Microsoft on Top

Halo 3 releases for the Xbox 360 today, September 25th, 2007. This first-person shooter from Bungie Studios marks the beginning of a great season for Microsoft in their console war against the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. Some embarrassing errors in this news coverage: the market was dominated by the PlayStation 2, not the PS3; and the original Xbox, not the 360, launched in 2001: and I think Ken Gagne of Computerworld has confused his Xbox 360 launch date with that of the Wii - but otherwise a good overview for a general audience. It is the truth. Halo is the main reason that xbox survived. I don't know anyone that owned an xbox and not at least a couple of the halo games. The only other thing that Xbox 360 has is its price tag which is very suiting seeing as it breaks so often. I think the next Playstation will beat out the next Xbox simply because their console will most likely drop first. No fanboyism here, I own the 360 and not PS3
