Finally got everything wired up to my liking.
The controller assembly needs work and a box, but it works.
The controllers are 3 identical DRV8811 boards I designed together with a quick and dirty mainboard to act as a power/signal-bus and connection terminal.

Drivers are currently running at 1.75 amps pr phase 1/8 microstep, and I am homing at 600 mm/min. Max velocity in setup is 1200 mm/min.

Spindle is a 1 kW BLDC motor but I am having a bit of trouble getting EMC2 to generate the pwm signal the controller wants. I need off to be 1ms pulses with full speed (22k rpm) being 2ms pulses. EMC2 seems determined to turn off the pwm signal when the speed is 0rpm or motor is stopped with M5.

  • Thank you for the reply. And how do you tighten up the bearings to the Z plate? Could you send me some more detailed photos, or maybe take a video of the linear guides and upload it?
