The Rane Mixer that was used in the Dorian Gray Frankfurt

This Mixer is from one of Germany´s best Techno clubs the Dorian Gray (Frankfurt).It was installed in the large club from 1991-1996. I got it from one of the Technicians that used to work there. The Rane sounded fantastic in combination with the Throrens record players. I am using it now as a preamp to sample records, because some channels only work in mono. It need fixing and i will do it when i have the time. A lot of legends used this Mixer...Marc Spoon during his legendary sets to name one.

These are very good mixers, Ministry had one in their booth from arround 1991 to 2004 and it was same with the Urei 1620 they had. But seriously you are not meant to have it's channel slides set to max! It works almost same as the Urei cos you don't have a gain knob, it will sound better not in the red and you will get better SNR. Having it's fader fully open is basicaly having it's gain at max...Man Mark Spoon was a legend! RIP
