Al Jardine performs a medley of 1977's "Honkin Down The Highway" and a new song, "Drivin'" at the Carl Wilson Foundation show at the Roxy in LA, 10/19/08.
Such a catchy song, as were many on the " Beach Boys Love You" from 1977; and even better since Al sang the lead. Al, you sound better than any other of the guys. JHP
Al is a great vocalist, but I don't feel any soul in any of his new tracks. If someone could find something that he's written and sang well, with a lotta soul and meaning, that would be awesome. He seems like a really cool dude, I just find the stuff on his website so boring, overproduced and soulless
Love these songs! Especially Drivin with AL and Brian!
Had to sell the woody and hitch a ride!!

Al's voice is the one that has survived the best. Nice work Al!

Al is great... remember Al is more of a folk rock type... rather than a blues type singer.
