The tree is a Sallow and I had permission to cut it down. As you can see in the video it was at an extrem angle and it was rotten inside the core so it's days were numbered.

  • Next time you need to remember to yell "Timber!"

Very good time on that tree.

    I like your axe.

Hope to see more axe videos from you in the future.

    Take care my friend

Hehe yes sir;o) Thank you! I got it down in about 5 to 6 minutes with the clearing work. But I would not be able to compete with an chainsaw:o)

It has grown on me and it is a good weight to use as an allround axe. It splits good and takes of limbs 5 cm wide in one blow I like it:o) We are always to people working so we can keep an eye out for each other. So I take of the limbs with the axe and my father fells them and take the really thick braches.

    Always a pleasure

  • That's pretty good chopping, felling that tree in a short time is impressive. Is the wood being used for fire wood or building? With the rotted insides, I'm thinking it would be best as fire wood. Thanks

  • @rainbowhiker

Thank you! I was a bit of on my technique but I have changed it, so I have a better swing to my blows. It is as you guessed, fire wood.

    All the best

  • You are ruling the world with these great Axe vids my friend! That Hultafors works well!

    All the best, Nils

  • @ModernNorseman

Wow thank you my firend! It is something to live up to;o) It does and after working two days in the woods it just needed a light honing:o) So I am pleased with the steel and if you look at the intro video I did you willsee that I was not impressed with it out of the box.

    All the best

  • @Waldhandwerk

Thank you my good friend! A good way to get fit;o)

    All the best

  • @bushcraftbartons

Yep no wonder they invented the chainsaw;o)

  • @noucuratlex

    I will do that

  • @noucuratlex

No problem it was my pleasure. I usually use my chainsaw but this would be an alternative in a pinch. I have it to take of limbs from trees and to cut to get the chainsaw free if it gets stuck.
