For more free crochet ideas visit http://www.allfreecrochet.com Mikey from Mikeyssmail takes you through using the Front Posts. Fancy patterns talk about this in patterns. They call it FPDC = Front Post Double Crochet. Mikey shows you how to crochet and where to place your crochet hook in this tutorial. This is used in fancy patterns like Zig Zag Crochet Stitch Patterns and Ripple Stitch Patterns. Right Handed Tutorial
When you do your yarn-overs, I notice you move the hook under, over (on the pull through of the post), under, under. Is there a reason for this? Does it make a difference which way I wrap the yarn?

This is a great explanation. It's so thorough, so instead of just learning how to use a stitch, you teach us how to *apply* the stitch in our own creations. Pretty awesome, good sir.

Thank you, Mikey! Just what I needed to learn to be able to do a "winter thermal" scarf with a "waffle pattern" from Lion Brand yarn. :-)
