The Romanian Parliament, also known as the Peoples Palace, is the biggest building in Europe and the second largest in the world. Only the Pentagon is bigger.

It was build by the Romanian dictator Ceausescu in the beginning of the eighties, but he never saw it finished. At the moment which he was executed, in December 1989, only the outside and the design was done.

Dictators throughout human history have always built things like this to go with the size of their ego, hubris and vanity.
