  • why is nuttin glowing wtf!?!?!?

  • @Soldrur wrong asshole, they can glow red hot depending on their composition and radioactivity, also read up on cherenkov radiation.

    again, fuck you.

  • My uncle worked there in the 1960's. He once contaminated one of his shoes on accident.

  • it is not easy. What if spaceship with nuclear waste will crash at start? It will polute half of earth..

  • 3 mile island ring a bell

  • collect it store it and make more and maybe send collected material to venus to live out lifespan storing it on earth for that long just don't make sense who said nuclear power was cheap its just clean

  • do u realize that renewable energy is not efficient enough to make a stable supply of power, solar power is very expensive and only generates power during the day, wind only works when there is wind. u make it sound as if its easy to just suddenly move on to clean energy. seriously instead of bitching about it, y dont u do something about it. can u imagine what the world would be like if every1 was like u and just bitched and complained about everything but didnt take any action against it

  • Hanford just received $2bill in stimulus funds to help clean up the mess, and ther'es talk of cutting the reservation down to 10 sq mi.

  • Chernobyl happened in 1986. Since then name another nuclear accident on the scale you suggest? I would love to be able to use renewable energy, wind, solar, hydro but you have to face the fact that it's nowhere near feasible at current. So we use nuclear power to bridge the gap until then. Your last few sentences totally argue in favor of nuclear. Coal is the worst fuel source we have yet people against nuclear offer NO suggestions on how to fix the problem. Saying "use wind" is not useful.

  • ever heard of chernobyl? ....yeah u make one mistake and half of the world around that NPP suffers... not in the oh we can replace them kind of way... even so wat are u gonna do with the spent fuel rods? leave em in dry storage for thousands of years? wat if they leak and contaminate the soil n water around it? the world we live in is like a very sensetive scale... tip the odds even by a bit n its game over... the environment is not spendable ...we don't need more problems in this world...
