Boycott hits out....

@supermanpaki But poor captain!

Back then it didn't matter - pitches were uncovered and it was an even match between batters and bowlers :)

You are an idiot. Garry Sobers was a great allrounder

Craziest declaration ever. Gary forgot that there was no Hall at P of Spain and Griffith, bowled only 3 overs in the first innings, and was injured. 215 off 50 plus overs was an easy Gillette Cup type target of the sort English batsmen were comfortable with. Batsman's pitch too. Saw Sobers at his peak in 1966, a phenom.....but this declaration probably showed why poor Gary lost most of his money in the end on horses that turned out slower than he thought.

Cowdrey was stamped a batsman, but I saw him take a catch at 1st slip once down on his ankles and he put the ball in his pocket! the batsman did not even know it, the umpire gave out and he took the ball out of his pocket and showed the batsman! brilliant! I think it was against india... years ago of course

Late reply I know, but the 'Kenneth Williams' style commentator is actually Denis Compton!
