www.PriestsForLife.org Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, continues his reflections on praying to end abortion. In this video, Fr. Pavone answers the question, "For whom are we praying? We're not just praying about an issue. We're not just praying for a change in the culture. We're not just praying for a transformation of attitudes." He goes on to explain, "We are praying for real people. Just like we pray for the poor, we pray for the sick. We're praying for the unborn." To make progress in the fight against abortion, we need to put a face on those for whom we are praying. Fr. Pavone encourages us to use the images like the ones at www.unborn.info and to look into their eyes as we pray. "Let us pray to end abortion and let our prayer be specific and personal for very real people."
Let's pray first to stop all the child fucking from priests.

lets pray to end miscarriages too. the millions of poor little souls lost every day because god decided they shouldnt develop properly in the womb. God, i pray to you, to stop making women miscarry!

@SolidscoreX So really this has nothing to do with your position on abortion, nor prayer, rather your rage towards God? Makes sense.

@adorima Im not against abortion, either way i really don't care. And jesus is an asshole, im not asking for anything from him.

@SolidscoreX Well, I think Fr. Pavone is "doing something about it" more than you do...I think that's safe to say. He is the national director for priests for life...Sorry hun, that comment was a little too glib to show that you actually read up on this subject.
People pray, then they act. Prayer gives direction to our actions. The right direction. Maybe that's a little too hi-falutin for you, but that's what Jesus taught.

Prayer gets you nothing, actually doing something about it will.

my prayer is that mothers considering abortion "see" the baby in their womb as a human being. May the grace of Christ be with them now and always.

Thanks for that discussion. Excellent. The one thing I have thought is if a child is aborted without ever being given a name, God still has a name for that person.
Some people may see this as a trite or secondary issue. If God knows everyone (including the unborn) before we are even in the womb, then that must mean that God (who is love) has the unborn's name written in the Book of Life (which I sometimes want to call the "Book of Dignity").
