@ExpertiseGamer With this particular camera, it doesn't use the entire sensor (it does when it zooms), so it still allows full resolution in digital zoom TO AN EXTENT. It still fucks up if you zoom too far.

With digital zoom, the farther you zoom in the worse the quality gets. It's a sort of artificial zoom because it magnifies the pixel sizes to make it look like it's zooming but it's actually not. Some camcorders have 2000x digital zoom. Optical zoom is the real zoom but doesn't degrade quality as you zoom in.
