Daniel Hannan on Glenn Beck: on the so-called "right wing" Euro parties which are actually LEFT wing

I wrote a blog entry (http://www.proudtobecanadian.ca/index/weblog/17246/) which catches a Canadian TV network (CTV) falsely describing extreme left-wing, socialist, possibly racist, extremist Euro political parties as "right-wing". Hannan helps clarify the truth.

Of course the BNP is right-wing. They're nationalist, as opposed to left-wing internationalism. They're anti-egalitarian, as opposed to left-wing socialism.

Libertarianism was a radical ideology that opposed conservatism. Conservatism is & was not about individualism. Today 'right-wing' can mean libertarian and/or conservative. There are opposing elements among the right-wing.

@deejaykay no not really he was making the fundamental point that BNP have socialist policies which are of the left, yet right wing is what theyre labelled and has become a by word for the nasty people as it were, conservatism as an ideology is about individuality even if the British Tories havent adhered to that. They may be right they may be left but in reality taking the BNP as an example the right - left idea system is a fallacy left over product of the french revolution.

The whole "right" and "left" division of the political spectrum refers to social values, not economic policy. It's essentially a straw man argument to attempt to qualify right and left wing in terms of economic policy due to the simple fact that there are correlated factors.

National Socialism is economically tied to communism and left-wing socialism through economic policy, whereas it is part of the right-wing due to traditionalist social policy.

and obama has been appointed as the ruling judge to decide on historical injustices..... im sure that every tribe since the beginning of time has suffered at least one "injustice".... will the tribes that seem to have recovered get social and economic justice or just the ones that are poor or oppressed in the present day.... or perhaps there will be some sort of time frame to make it more realistic and achievable.. justice for all or no justice at all... So it does not matter what you call it all that matters is that it now controls the USA
