Army doesn't use civilian Hummers. HMMWVs come in all configurations. And HMMWVs weigh between 5600 (2dr pickups) and 12,000lbs (armored 4dr w/ turret).
I've been looking around, and I got my info from one place, and there are other sites that back that up, but then there are other sites like Wikipedia that say otherwise, so now I don't know what to believe.
The lightest HMMWV sits at 7,700 pounds. The H1 sits at 7,800 pounds. Creature comforts such as A/C, heater, carpet, stereo, luxury seats, etc, etc, add that weight. There are a dozen other HMMWV models that weigh that much or more, so it depends on what model you're talking about.
no, the military use H1 hummers AND humvee's Hummers are more of a transport though. the hummers are four door, humvees are 2 door. and ive seen so many land rovers stuck and not a single damn hummer stuck anywhere, hummer kicks land rovers ass anyday

@Tboninator The civillian H1 weights 7847 pounds, and the HMMWV sits at 5,200-6,000 pounds.

@Tboninator This is not true actually. The HMMWV is a lot lighter than the H1.
