Super Furry Animals - Poptastic (Part 1 - with English subtitles)

This is the first part of the (mainly Welsh) 'Poptastic' documentary, directed by Geraint Jarman for S4C in 1997. It follows the band to Iceland, Germany, Holland, London, Japan and back to Cardiff.

This part is really just the introduction to the documentary.

This version has English language subtitles to translate the Welsh audio.

For the sake of completion, the on screen Welsh information is translated as follows:

"Super Furry Animals formed in 1993 from former members of Welsh bands like Ffa Coffi Pawb, Catatonia and U-Thant"

"Cian Ciaran from Acid Casuals and his brother Dafydd Ieuan had been experimenting with techno for some time with their friends Guto Pryce and Hugh Bunford"

"When Gruff returned from Barcelona where he'd been studying art, guitars were added to the sound, and over forty songs were written"

"After very few gigs there was unbelievable press interest, and they were signed by Creation Records in no time"
