That is by far the luckiest girl in the world. If I could work on a song with Stephen Sondheim I would probably die of happiness.

He may be brilliant, but he's acting like a first-class dick here. Jesus, let the girl sing. If you don't like the way she sings your song, then sing it yourself. Cutting her off at the end of her first time through was especially ungraceful.

Sondheim ' mucis is wonderful and probably not always as easy digestable as ALW's etc. but I still prefer him

Hey there, anyone knows what has become of this girl. She seemed very evenly tempered , quite beautiful though beeing at a rather young age. Think there's a lot of stage potential in that.

Yeah. I understand where you are coming from. He definetely is not as melodic as the composers you mentioned above. But I wouldn't go as far as to say his melodies are terrible. Look at Bach who wrote in the same mechanical fashion as Sondheim. His music has survived 300 years of constantly changing trends and now his songs are timeless. I definetely see where you are coming from though...
