  • It is not the slaughter itself that upsets most people..it is the condition of transport...and the methods of slaughter. Most horses are abused, neglected and some even killed in tranport. WOuld you want to travel 500+ miles without food or water..some are pregnant, or babies themselves! Some lose their limbs (legs) in transport due to inhumane treatment..or worse. Grow up and educate yourself about this before posting comments!

  • im organising a sponsored ride .. the maoney raised will go to the world horse welfare.

  • maybe if we put those humans their in that truck without food or water see if they can cope and kill them the way they kill horses

  • @horseymolly what a way to get your thumbs...good job.

  • @Blondhorsecrazy i agree with how you said it is so inhumaine to transport them, however it is the slaughter that upsets me. It is unbelievably cruel and unneeded. Why not just put them down?? that wont hurt us. It's both that bother me, the tought, the action, the transport, the methods, and the slaughter and consumption that makes me cry. so, i do agree with you but for most people, EVERYTHING about slaughter bothers them.

  • ok these people that are slaughtering these poor horses should be killed cause horses are humans best friends like what did horses ever do to us humans!

  • NONE OF THEM DESERVE THIS:(

  • I support Make A Noise!!!!!!!

  • @ProJumper101 Go look at cattle, chickens and pigs. Same if not worse conditions as these horses. And plenty of people still eat veal. Look at diary cows, the only difference between veal and diary cows(The Commercial diary farms, not the small ones) is that the cows eat better food and are adults. They too, are hacked to death once they can't produce milk. And Im not going to stop eating any beef or milk even after watching those videos. Why? Because it wont make a difference in the long run.

  • Here's a brilliant idea.. STOP EATING THEM! Failing that find a better and efficient human way or slaughter, and stop the long haul trucking... Animals have thought and feelings too not just humans.

  • Let me start by saying I am a Big animal lover. Not only are these horses being mistreated but they should not have any reason to die. To me, a horse is a creature of strength, intelligence, love, beauty, understanding, and independance, and I could keep going. To think that these strong and independant animals are too weak to fight back or even be a little pushy at least is saying a lot in regards to how they are being treated. For those of you that believe in eating horse meat...

  • Just think, if most of the people who ate horse (think gourmets and such) actually knew how the horses lived in the 4 days before their slaughter, they would stop eating them like most people did with veal, because of the horrid conditions they lived in. All that the Horse-rescue-groups would have to do is hype up the gory and tragic parts and put out huge ads and people would lose their lunch (in a good way!) and the horse slaughter business would have all this meat and no one to sell it to.
