  • ezkill99 All of the insulation was removed and replaced with Rock Wool Insulation. We have since built a new smoker from the ground up. Check out that video series as well.

  • It would be hard to pull off but that would certainly rock......

  • We use rock wool or mineral wool insulation. Typically you can get it at any local insulation supply house. You could also use plain fiberglass insulation as long as it is not coated. Lastly, remember that air is a great insulator. Sometimes you just need to have a double wall and air will do the trick.

  • Question: if the frig is working and u wanna use that to keep the meat cold in the summer while you smoke, can you still keep everything in tact and just cut a hole in the side to allow smoke in without it being toxic? Smoke box is way off to the side with just enough heat to produce smoke and cools further while traveling though the tube leading into the fridge. Is it possible?
