Great tactic for dealing with these guys!

Here's one for junk mailings: Many places will include a prepaid postage envelope in it. Stuff it with as much garbage as you can and mail it back to them. They are required to pay the postage on that -- including the extra if it's more than an ounce....

why dont you just check the product, take it if it's good enough for you or refuse it if it doesn't work for you? Like that it will take longer to have another call from the same company.

After all, telemarketers are not stupid, they can feel you're lying and after 3 minutes waiting they will hang up and reprogram the call so one of his collegues calls you again another day.

You have to be so stupid to belive that telemarketers are terrorists that hate you and try to kill you. LOL.

Because if I want to buy something from someone, I will call them.

I regularly keep them on the line for 8-12 minutes, so by your standard, yes they are stupid.

i just tried this, it was so fun, i kept one female marketer on the phone for nearly half an hour, in the end when i said, he is on his way she started getting pissed and hung up, haha, thank you!

start speaking in a foregin language, unless yor like my friend, she started speaking in spanish and apparently the telemarker knew espanol as well. ;) lol

@Lemon020202 we are not losing minutes cause our client pays the bill and we are using the Vici Dialer.. so be polite over the phone if u don't want to receive many many call backs :) hahahaha!

@krapivnik u should be polite with telemarketers :) cause u know we care for our customers but if they are cursing and shouting us over the phone we really put their number on CALL BACK LIST and not in DNC list :)

@6031042 i agree with you .. For us we just wait 2 minutes on the phone if they ask to hold on.. then hang up and give them a call back.. we are just going to remove their number if they are polite enough..

and if they are rude and keep shouting to be taken off to the calling list.. i will just say " im sorry im gonna call u again" and put their number on CALL BACK LIST :) haha!

that works for landlines, but not for cell phones on pay-as-you-go :(

I've tried cursing at them but only ended up with them calling more frequently :(

If you want to stop telemarketers calling you, sign up for the 'do not call' registry. You would have to be an idiot not to.
