The interesting thing is that if you know Arabic, you will understand the song in the video seeking a a suitor who does not have to be wealthy nor of high ranking. It's worth noting that in Egypt, and Arab countries in general, good cooking is a highly cherished skill in bride.

Just thought noting this for those who do not know Arabic and are unfamiliar with this classic and popular song from Egypt.

This is absolutely delish!!! I was practically licking the bowl clean!

So quick & easy! Way, way, way better than what we usually buy from our favorite restaurant.

It's been saved as a favorite for a long time, but I never got the chance to get together all the ingredients until today. Thanks for posting the recipe!

Thanks 4hereOrThere for your nice comments! i hope you try it and like it...i have to warn you though, it is heavy on the stomach and will make you feel full all day long!
You may buy the dry beans, soak them overnight and then boil them until tender the next day, drain and use as the recipe in the video. good luck!

This is so GOOD!!!! It's been saved as a "favorite", but never quite got the time to shopping for all the ingredients. Wish I would have done it a lot sooner! Thanks for posting the recipe-it is delish!
