Transformer Autotobot Blades & Springer Review

Blades & Springer are based an an awesome mold that, up until Blades, has never seen a color scheme that doesn't make babies cry. Springer's not that bad, but he's certainly not good in his lime green & gray unglory. Both are easy to transform for helicopter Transformers and made of a fairly robust mold.

Wizartar clued me into the obvious bit I missed: Springer's triple-changer G1 form.

Ratbat horrible?

I had Cybertron Sideways (the orignal figure, the mold is the same for Ratbat) and it's awesome.

Maybe the colors ruin it.

RatBat is horrible for giving to your son or younger brother. I have come to enjoy him as, unlike many Animated figures, his ball-joints hold together as the figure is not bulky (usually I hate ball-joints for this reason), and the figure has a lot of personality built into it. Plus I've seen Sideways in the Cybertron series, which I'm working through. But I can't recommend it as a robust and transformable toy.

My thanks. I missed putting the tail down in robot mode to give more room to the blades in robot mode, and we had background scenery issues, but Dulce kept things in the picture for a 9yo girl with no training and only one take.

I think I need to focus on my strengths, which really aren't reviews (there are only, what, lots of those?). If I can start some Play By Email style game wherein the turns are handled by quick YouTubes, it's possible I could make that fun.

Reviews are still fun though.

Ah, wow, a G1 I didn't have as a child. I found pictures of his vehicle modes as well has his robot mode and posted links in the description.

If I'd had him his current color scheme would have made a lot more sense on the outset. Thank you for sharing, Wizartar, I can appreciate him more, now.

Nice review, I really like the Springer colors as they're close to the original G1 that I have.
