THE BENEFITS on Danish news!

Presenter: These two funny boys are packing up their stuff and are going west! Tomorrow these two unknown danish guys will fly to Los Angeles to begin a completely new life. The worlds largest record company has given them a recording deal and on top of that a marketing campaign that's unusual and extraordinary for an unknown european band.

Today they're packing...and in the room next door. For three years have these two old friends from East Jutland lived on Amager (Copenhagen) and in their spare time have been been making music on their computer. Two months ago they sent their song to some manager in USA and then it happened.

Ilang: Our manager who wasn't our manager at the time, Greg, he called on skype and said "Hey guys I got news for you, what do you say to a record deal with Universal New York??" and then we were both like "WHAT??"

Thomas: our music video was really just a little try-out we did.

Presenter: Their music video was recorded for very little money before the record company got involved, but the president of Universal music saw the video on his computer and loved it. He decided to use the full length video in a preshow in 14,000 cinemas across America for three weeks. They estimate that in a week more than 30 million people will have seen it.

Ilang: I'm really looking forward to seeing it myself in the movies.

Thomas: It's weird to know that your music is getting exposed to a great deal of the American population and then be here in Amager.

Presenter: But tomorrow they're moving to Los Angeles where they will rent a house for a while.

Thomas: Some time I guess we'll go to NY and meet our record company. We haven't met them yet.

Presenter: Before taking off they're picking up their outfits at the tailor so they're ready for going on stage "over there."

The Benefits' single is getting released all over America next month and some of the biggest radio stations have already said they will play it - so we hope they will keep that promise !!
