Video of Russian prison tortures casts more shadow on security forces

Russia's struggling to stamp out a culture of abuse within its prisons, as more evidence has come to light, revealing officers torturing and humiliating inmates. The disclosures will place even greater pressure on reform of the penitentiary system, which is currently underway. It's aimed at relieving overcrowded prisons, and placing less people behind bars. A new measure - house arrest - has already been introduced for lesser crimes. Separate jails are also planned for 1st time offenders. However human rights groups are calling for a far more thorough overhaul, with prisoner abuse remaining a major problem.

I agree. American prisons are so pampered. They get three meals a day, TV, free time, phone calls and showers and the sad thing is they still complain about it. I hate the leathal injection. I wish they would kill prisoners how they killed people along with the pedophiles.

Idea 2 : If we have people who are going to spend the rest of their lifes in jail, why not use their pointless life? If that person some diease and have doctors or scientist find a cure. If people bitch about using animals for testing, then use humans that have no purpose in life. They would only set examples of why people should never do crimes. (High Crimes)

I do not know what type of crimes these people committed, but I THINK this method should be used more in systems. ( For High Crimes) Killing someone for murder is pointless, but bring him/her fear (Torture) for the rest of their life should be done. If you need to torture people in front of the the public in order to let criminals (and potenial criminals) know what hell will be like in the future, well.... give them a sample. ( This thought is not fully completed, and Yes, it needs improvements)
