Roundtable Films made this trailer with the charity group called The Africa Yoga Project to help with an awareness campaign to show the amazing work Kenyan yoga teachers are achieving and the affect yoga is having on Tribalism in Kenya.

Nick Broomfield supports the film:
"I enjoyed how Afghan Star used a pop idol style show, to communicate important topics on Afghanistan to the audience.
I believe that with Yoga For Unity we will learn interesting social issues about Kenya, using yoga as the vehicle."

Baron Baptiste supports the film:
"The practice of Baptiste yoga in its broadest sense -- a powerful physical practice infused with principles of possibility and peace -- causes deep transformation in individuals, and leads to strong positive change in communities.
I designed and evolved this practice and its underlying philosophy over many years to stimulate healing and create new possibilities on many levels; when people develop peace within themselves and a purpose for their lives, the natural next expression is creating peace with others -- family, community, tribe and nation."

  • @ganeshbaby0-I think it's amazing that the Africa Yoga Project exists. Yoga and meditation is a tool for bringing peace to the world. Kudos, once again. I just want to ensure that credit is given where credit is deserved. Good luck!

  • @ganeshbaby0Actually,Yoga is deeply ingrained in the practices of Hinduism. One way to attain moksha is through Yoga and meditation.Buddhism and Jainism (all products of Hinduism) use it as a way to attain moksha as well.Yoga is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita.As much as I love embracing different cultures etc [I've lived in four different countries (never lived in India)],the truth is the truth.Just because Hinduism accepts all religions/cultures,doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve credit.

  • @MsM220 - Yoga predates the Hindu religion by thousands of years, meditation has got nothing to do with Prayer nor has meditation or yoga got anything to do with religion in any shape or form. Yoga is actually pronounced Joga its meaning is "Union".....union with what? The Creator...God whatever name you are comfortable with.

As for the Africa Yoga Project.......you guys ROCK!!!!!!!!

  • I think that using Yoga is an amazing way to promote peace.Kudos to you guys! However, I would like to clarify something.Yoga is from India and pretty much everything in Yoga is Hindu traditions.Meditation is a Hindu form of prayer, as is Yoga. When the lady in the video stated that it is not a religion, she was actually incorrect.Yoga and meditation is Hindu.I just wanted to clarify that because most people, outside of India and North America don't know. These two practices originated in India.
