  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I read someone comparing a CRAPPY and SHITTY singer like Atif Aslam with the god of music Kishore kumar.

Even GOD cant create another kishore kumar.

  • Kishore is the most versatile singer on earth.Rahat is just a talented singer who can sing only 1 type of song evrytime. Have u EVER heard Rahat singing an item song, devotional song, festival song, disco song, naughty song, funny song etc.

Rahat is not even a playback singer. His songs r always used as background songs in every movie. His voice dont suit any actor's voice

Its useless to listen all the songs of rahat bcoz all his songs sounds the same. Lyrics and singing style are almost same.

  • so and so rahat is great

  • @shushanto Some classical Kishore songs

Mere naina sawan bhado (Raag Shivranjani)

    Karvate badalte rahen (Raag Pahadi)

Meri bheegi bheegi si (Raag Kirvani)

Kuch To Log Kahenge (based on Raag Khamaaj)

    Payalwali Dekhna (Raag Maru Bihag)

If you want "hardcore classicals", try some of his Bengali songs

    Amar deep nebhano raat

    Noyono Sorosi Keno

I'm sure there are plenty more. Kishore was nowhere close to Manna Dey singing classical but he was definitely more versatile than Manna Dey.

  • @kars0509

  • @kars0509 I did not suggest in any way that Shankar has been training for only 6 years. If you read my more recent comments you may understand. My comment about 6 years of training was directed at versatility, not Shankar.

  • @kars0509 But Shankar does not have a "gifted" voice, just a well-trained one. This is no insult to him as no-one can help that, but the fact that he has realised his talent for singing and trained it accordingly is of great credit to him. It is my opinion that a gifted voice is more worthy of merit than simply a well-trained one...such as Rafi's. But the combination of gift and rigorous training is superior...for instance, in my opinion, the greatest of all singers is Manna Dey.

  • @kars0509 Actually I have never heard any classical of Kishore, could you please suggest some of his best classical songs?

A subtle taste in music? What do you mean? I rate Shankar highly as a musician, and rate him well as a singer, because he has a good knowledge of music, and has used it to train his voice.

  • @shushanto.......... and the other reason why u are in love with rahat and sonu is because rahat is an amzing singer in his own genre and it definately suits the kind of songs he get....the high range songs with semi classical...and and sonu to an extent ..he knows how to modulate his voice accordingly ... but shankar nwdays mainly being a composer has to be choosy regardin the kind of songs he wants to sing....hence dosen't leave him with much option
