I have a prime filet mignon roast is this the same as a beef tenderloin? And would you recommend cooking this in the oven or should I slice into individual steaks. Also would you freeze this type of roast? I bought fresh for a dinner party that was cancelled.

@Mactino8 The Fillet is the tip of the tenderloin. Two very different results and techniques you're talking about so I guess it depends how you enjoy beef best. I always feel if you're freezing it's better to have smaller portions so they defrost easier.
