Great sound - no idea why anyone would consider Ronnie's voice 'mediocre.' Still sounds fresh and unique after all these years. Wall of Sound was created before the Ronettes and Spector stifled a great talent.

Phil Spector has serious psychological difficulties, but the man was a genius. He created a whole musical idiom (the "wall of sound") to cover up the fact that his wife, Ronnie, had a voice that was mediocre at best. She wanted hit songs. He got them for her, and gave us an even greater gift--music that seems to fill every nook and cranny of consciousness.
