  • Hi Likiwiguy, since the aperture ring has to be fixed, am I right to say lens with aperture adjustment is only for film and much older DSLR. The FEE error remains even in manual mode. Anyway like the categorization of the videos done.

  • Top end digital SLR's can accept manual focus lenses with a built-in aperture ring and meter using built-in AI ring (for meter coupling). Many other digital SLR's do not support this feature. So, yes, it will work on any film SLR's as well. Correct, FEE error appears in any mode (M-A-S-P, Vari-Program, and Auto).

  • Well, sure it didn't help at all ...

I have the 80-400 and it works fine in my D300 , but gives me an error FEE when I use it on my D700 ... I have used my friend's 80-400 on my D700 and same thing happened ... But all my other lenses work fine on my D700 !!!!!

    Solve that

  • The problem is with your D700. Send it in for service.

  • Did not work for me :/

  • Try cleaning the contacts on the lens and camera. There are tutorials on both on our channel.
