  • It takes forever to get the story underway? Kids are talking all over each other? S & E are no Goonies. Hey, it's their time up there and it's our time down here. Obviously.

  • I completely disagree with these guys. I liked the first 30 minutes because it shows these kids being kids and that's fun to watch. But once the adventure kicks in, it actually gets boring.

  • "one eyed willie" huh?

  • one of the best movies ever made! i was 15 yrs old when i went to the theatre to see this...then i went again like another 5 times!

  • I just had to laugh at Siskel saying "the fat kid".

  • It was a bit hypocritical of S. & E. to criticize the director for having the children talk over each other when, as S. & E. discuss the dialog, they frequently interrupt each other (about 4 min in). Granted, S & E. aren't preventing the articulation of each other's idea, but that's what children tend to do when they're excited, and it was portrayed accurately in the movie.

    Anyway...

  • @Archedgar yeah agree with that. It's incredibly corny with awful cringe-inducing on-liners and dialouge i almost puked at.

  • I saw it as a kid and I loved it.

Then I saw it as an adult and realized it's REALLY bad. It's one of those "so bad it's good" movies though.

  • The sound of this video sounds like 8 Bit Super Mario

  • i didnt like this movie cuz the fat kid has to scream the whole damn time

  • I wonder what they would've said about "Super 8". Would they have felt the same about that as they did about "The Goonies". BTW, one of the greatest movies of the 80s.

  • I remember seeing this movie when I was about 10 and later in my teen life, seen the movie many of times.

Now, I am roughly in my 30's and I have agree with Siskel and Ebert.
