Tom Watson MP told David Cameron that he wrote him a letter in October 2010 warning him about his employment of Andy Coulson, the former editor of the News of the World, as his media adviser.
The Labour MP for West Bromwich East made the point during a question in the emergency debate in the Commons on the phone-hacking controversy.
The Commons was sitting for an extra day after the prime minister delayed MPs' summer recess so the fallout of the crisis could be discussed.

This is typical of the House of Commons. A reasonable and detailed question is put to the PM but recieves a response that is like nailing custard to the ceiling. It would be far better for the PM to be questioned by a committee of the house on a weekly basis than the nonsense rabble of PMQ's.

That's really cool way of lawmaking. Talk it out face to face with the leader of the nation.

Urrrgh, dodging questions is just the name of the game in politics... I'm sick of it.

There is nothing as satisfying as saying "I TOLD YOU SO".
