Undeniable Attraction: Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 30

Ok guys I am so so so so so (times a million) SORRY that I havent posted in forever!! But Ive been so busy!! Lol anyway here its chapter 30, please enjoy! =] comment rate and subscribe! =]

When the first dance between the bride and groom starts, I smile because I can tell that the couple is very madly in love. I wonder if I will be that in love with my future husband. I glance over at Nick, watching with a smile.

I think about our future. I can never see myself involved in gangs or with someone who is. That goes against everything I believe in. Its just not who I am, or ever will be. But looking at him now, examining his every feature, I am connected to this boy unlike any other, even though it is past all good sense and reasoning. I really should know better.

There is something between us that is so different then any other feeling I have felt. Its like a magnetic draw. My mission is to make him change his life so that someday, maybe people will call us the perfect couple. I girl can hope cant she?

Nick catches me staring at him and smiles. He wraps me in his arms, making me feel more safe and at home than I have felt in a long time.

-Dance with me- He says pulling me out on the dance floor. As we slowly sway to the music, Nick starts singing softly in my ear. I lay my head against his shoulder. I really could get used to this.

When the song is over I push him over to his cousin, -Go dance with Ashley. I should go talk to your mom.-

He frowns slightly, -Are you sure you want to do that?-

-Yeah, dont worry about me. I need to do this- I give him a quick kiss on the cheek and he reluctantly walks away.

I find my way to Nicks mom, wearing a red dress. She looks more beautiful then I have ever seen my mom look, and she actually tries. I tentatively tap her shoulder as she sets a plate down.

-Hi Mrs. Jonas.- I smile.

-Brianna right?- she asks.

I nod at take a deep breath. Ok I can do this, I know I can, -Ok Ive been wanting to say something to you and I figured now would be a good time. So here I go- I say, preparing myself. She looks at me impatiently so I continue, -Look I know you and I got off on kind of the wrong foot. And I am sorry if I disrespected you in any way. But I did not go to your house with the intention of kissing Nick. I didnt even have the intention of dating him.-

-Forgive me for asking, but what are your intentions with him?- she questions.

Im surprised by her question, -Um, I am not sure what you want me to say. To be honest we are kind of just figuring it out as we go.-

Mrs. Jonas puts her hand on my shoulder, -The Lord knows I am not the best mother. But I care more about my boys then life itself. And I would do anything to protect them. I see the way he looks at you and to be honest, it scares me. I dont want him to be hurt by another person he cares about it-

As Mrs. Jonas gives me her speech, I feel a lump forming in my throat. I would give anything to have my mother care about me the way Nicks mom cares about him.

I try to swallow, tears welling in my eyes, -Mrs. Jonas, I cant promise not to hurt Nick. But if you want me to stay away from him, I cant do it.- I tell her. And its true. Being with Nick makes me a better person. It takes me away from my own darkness.

As tears come to the brim of my eyelids, I shove my way through the crowd, trying to find the bathroom. But the next thing I know, I run into Nick and he wraps his arms around me, holding me tight to him. He smoothes my hair, whispering to me that itll be ok. I nod into his shirt and wipe my eyes.

-Im sorry,- I mumble.

He shakes his head, -Dont even worry about it. Come with me, Ashley wants me to sing for them, I want you to come up to the front so I can dedicate the song to you.- he smiles and winks, making me feel so much better.

As I walk to the front of the crowd I see someone come up beside me.

-Forgive my aunt. She can come off as a little harsh, but she doesnt mean any harm. I promise.- Ashley, the bride says, grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

I smile, -I know. And thank you.-

-No problem,- She says letting go of my hand and getting ready for Nick to serenade us.

I clear my throat, -Honestly, what do you think of me and Nick together?-

-Being honest? I think you are one of the best things thats ever happened to him. Ive havent seen him this happy for a long time. Just take care of him- she tells me.

I smile, knowing that well both take care of each other. Maybe that magnetic force is the need for us to be together.
