2nd Horse Injured, 2011 Cheyenne Rodeo

July 25, 2011, one day after killing another horse, this horse is injured. The announcer doesn't even mention it. When the horse goes down, they make fun of her. They don't want to sled another horse out, so they force him to run, even though he is clearly trying to stop.

Rodeo promoters are remaining mum about this horse, not even admitting there was an injury.

Additional injuries include five calves and four steers, all but one of which were hauled out, and the rodeo is only half over!

The shame of Cheyenne is the shame of the US.

ok well i see this video and i noticed that the horse was fine the bucking strap rigging was dangling down and befor you start ripping on rodeos look at people do in their own back yards. i seen starved animals of all sorts.

Ok so the horse is sitting down because it is in severe pain and the anouncer is making jokes about it. For petes sake if people don't think this is wrong then those are the people who are there cheering on this abuse. And don't say people are not aware of the infury because it is clearly obvious. Okay sure this is part of many cultures and what not and I respect that but when poor innocent lives are put in danger that is when I get angry. Things serously need to change. Thanks for posting this.

Ok here's the deal I agree that it is a terrible thing when any animal is injured but the fact is that noone has any control over when things like this happen, and the pickup men are not forcing that horse to run at all the horse is running of his own will, also they have to get the animal out of the arena so it can be better cared for behind the chutes, the announcers are simply doing their job and keeping the crowd calm so the animals aren't spooked and injure themselves further...

@sealy2392 The very nature of this event is injurious to animals, yet they do nothing to modify/change or stop doing it when they have absolute control to do so. Yes, the humans are responsible for these animal injuries.

i hate these fucking people that just abuse horses and animals for fucking MONEY! CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT IS GOING THROUGH THE HORSES HEAD WHEN IT GOES THROUGH ALL THAT PAIN!!!! LETS MAKE THE HORSES THE COWBOYS AND THE MEN THE HORSES AND SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT!!!!!

Person beneath me- the horse was limping. The leg was probably fractured(not broken b/c it wasn't swinging around).

@SHARKonlineorg okay i don't surport rodeos, and i'm not saying this is okay, but um yeay the horse fell and got a fright. um but if you look at it when it's led out of the arena, it's not even limping... but i agree this is not a cool sport and horses get injured.
