@MrGroach they co-wrote it with Don Schlitz. Saw an acoustic vid of this on CMT and it listed Schlitz as one of the writers, FYI....

Great song but I believe it was written by Don Schlitz. Maybe they co wrote it together. This song is on Don's Live CD he sells at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville.
