This is very helpful. Thanks alot :)
-
is there any way to do it without the periodic table?
-
If my periodic table doesn't have the possible charges what is another way to figure out if it needs a roman numeral or not??
-
<3 My teacher made it sound like it was a different language. :P This helped a lot. :)
-
where can I find that periodic table that shows the two charges in the corner?
-
if your given the name of an element -- for ex: Hydrogen iodine, How would you find the number of ions -- where do you find the atomic symbol for Hydrogen and iodine?
-
THANKS SO MUCH! :D

MARK please help me. How come on some periodic tables, take the element Zinc for example, on the side there are the following charges: 2,8,18,2. what do I do with that? or like even Calcium, which you said only has one charge, it has 2, 8, 8, 2 on the side where the charges are. Please help me!

@Alvinroxz 2-8-8-2 is not the charge, it's the electron configuration. 2 electrons in the 1st PEL, 8 electrons in the 2nd PEL, 8 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th.

what would Fe2O3 be.
jonathan599870 6 months ago
@jonathan599870 Since O is -2, Fe is +3, so it is iron (III) oxide.

thank you so much!!! its wired how my teacher takes about a week to explain by using big words without telling us what they mean. but makes no sense. you on the other hand go step by step, making it understandable. this is why many students hate chemistry, because theres not many teachers that explain to the point and easy to know, but most of all understandable. if it was easy like you teach, many would like chemistry. once again thank you so much.
SUB! :D

@509GAMER You're welcome. If you can't break it down so people can understand it, put it into terms they can understand, then what's the point of teaching it in the first place? Chemistry isn't some magical, arcane science that only a select few should understand! It's a beautiful look into how our universe works and the more people who can understand its basics, the better!
Good luck!
