@SharmyyBarmyy Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction to either sex. A lot of asexuals still want to form close romantic relationships - it's just not based on sexual attraction. Others have no desire for romantic relationships at all. I'm gay asexual (or 'homoromantic') as I prefer emotional and physical closeness with girls. Check out the site AVEN (or the new collab channel Hot Pieces of Ace) if you're interested in learning more :-)

@kadeclark I was born & raised in the LDS church. The church does not accept homosexuality in any way. My Mom & Dad were even asked by the church 2 go house 2 house in CA 2 try 2 get ppl 2 vote yes on prop 8. Its sad how after so much persecution themselves, the LDS church shows hypocrisy by doing the same 2 others. In the church I was never good enough. Ppl say i'm going against everything I believe, but I disagree. life on earth is 2 find total happiness, & I have found that.

@jen43a: Wow, you should be so proud of your bravery. My experience with the LDS is extremely limited. In fact, I just saw the documentary 8: Mormon Proposition today. I'd love to hear more about your story.
'Claim the right to exist' - hear hear. I'm asexual and I still too-often hear 'asexuality doesn't exist'. I hope that one day people will recognise it as a legitimate orientation, but we have to facilitate that change as individuals. One day none of us will have to 'speak out' anymore just to show that we exist - on the whole, we're on the path to becoming a much more open, tolerant and accepting society. Continue your awesome work - i love watching the beaverbunch vids.
