  • Where do you live? What part of the US?

  • @iym413 dude he just means that on a bright day , with good natural light , and a basic long shot, with the whole plain in focus, the image quality is very similar which is totally true, the benefits of full sensor are not going to shine in this specific type of shooting scenario, not to say that the hm100 is a better camera, the mark 2 is a incredible camera..they just excel in different areas

  • Not to be picky, but I can't believe you saw no difference between the JVC and the 5D between 1:45 and 2:05 timeline. I asked a total novice to check this out to see if i was wrong, and they agree that the Canon 5D has much better color and clarity.

  • Hes using a track dolly most likely people!

  • @wartime3001 DSLR FullHD (1080p) on the 5D MK II is NOT RAW footage. If it were, people would be jumping up and down for joy. 20 minutes is more like 4-5 GB.

  • The Canon 5D mark 3 has aliasing across the street on the side walk.

  • you love in a really nice street

  • >> better audio recording.

+ easier to stabilize manually by hand, due to shape and the way you're grabbing it.

    - lower performance in low-light condition.

oh yeah, almost forgot: DSLR FullHD (1080p) RAW footage eats up HUGE space/capacity compared to Camcorder, make sure you have loads of backup cards (20mins-ish = 8GB).

  • DSLR

    + great Depth Of Field

    + great low-light scene

    - harder not to shake. needs the operator's skills to make a great DSLR video/proper gear.

    - no autofocus (unless you push the autofocus, which will make the scene ugly while focus hunting, and noisy)

    - crappy audio (unless you rec the sound in external recorder: Zoom H4N/H1/etc, Tascam DR-05/DR-07/etc).

    RECORDER:

    + autofocus

    +/- wide Depth Of Field

+ better audio, usually the "pro" version has the XLR input etc that enables you to create >>

  • @WillTFJ Did he have wheels or something?
