Aaliyah Haughton 10th Anniversary We Missing You TRIBUTE. This is a Tribute to our Beautiful Angel, Aaliyah. I remember the day like it was yesterday. We miss you so much! You will live on forever in our hearts and souls. Aaliyah you are gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN!

About Aaliyah:

Aaliyah came into this world on Jan. 16, 1979. She was killed in a plane crash during the summer time of 2001. Aaliyah started her musical career on the ground running in 1994 at the young age of 15. Her first release was her first debut album "Age Aint Nothin' but a number" which made it to the top 20 Hot list for pop music charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom. upon its release. Aaliyah had such a beautiful attitude that shined through in her music. From a very early age, Aaliyah 's mother, who was a vocalist, began enrolling her in voice lessons. Aaliyah went to a Catholic school and attended Gesu Elementary School, where she got her first taste of performing in the 1st grade. She landed a part in the play Annie and made it her goal to become an entertainer. In 1995 at age 16, Aaliyah debut a live performance for the Orlando Magic game singing "The Star-Spangled Banner". During that same year, she appeared on the soundtrack for A Low Down Dirty Shame with the minor international hit "The Thing I Like" which was #33 UK. The song was also included on international versions of Age Ain't Nothing But A Number. The world famous, Tommy Hilfiger gave Aaliyah her first endorsement deal. He signed Aaliyah onto print campaigns, runway shows, and a commercial. At was at this time that Aaliyah would also make guest appearances on albums by artists such as Missy Elliott, Timbaland & Magoo, Ginuwine and Playa.
