ZWSOFT is now ready to release its next generation 3D SmoothFlow geometry engine. SmoothFlow will make ZW3D the fastest, most effective 3D CAD system available anywhere.

At the foundation of ZW3D software is the uniquely powerful hybrid kernel called ZW Overdrive™. This geometry engine seamlessly integrates the speed of solids, the flexibility of wireframe and the power of Class-A surfaces.

  • The user interface has undergone a major revamp but unfortunately, I downloaded a previous version without the updates.

If I'm not too lazy, I might redo it with the newer interface...

  • How can this program compete against SolidWorks, Solid Edge ST3, SpaceClaim, etc. with a user interface that reminds me of a UNIX legacy application?

Yes, the former VX now ZW3D is a very powerful CAD program but without an easy to use user interface it will continue to be passed over by most users who demand a much better user interface.

  • Lazy is not a word I associate with you.

At least in this video SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor are finally acknowledged as the competition. For years it was "we don't knock our competition" and the results of that policy speak for themselves.

Look forward to see the "major revamp" of the user interface. For sure it needs it. This is a very powerful program that deserves much more success than its had.

    Thank for the response.

  • With the free TransMagic app it reads *.ipt and *.iam Inventor files and SolidWorks *.sldprt and *.sldasm

  • Does this program read files made in Autodesk Inventor o Solid Works?

  • se pare ca va fi cea mai buna aplicatie...

  • great video!!!

  • I agree with John about history tree. I would'a really liked to see that.

As a user, I am impressed that the DE is l almost transparent in that it doesn't require me to deal with a radically different interface or large visual elements at the cursor. Choice to direct edit or enter dims. in the same dialog windows I am used to.is cool.

I still think the ZW interface is one of the simplest around and that an endearing feature of the package.

    Bob, it's a well produced video - don't be lazy. OK !

  • It would be nice to see what's happening in the feature tree while all these changes are taking place.
