Freddie Mercury google doodle

Today the Google homepage shows an amazing doodle. Google honors Freddie Mercury - the lead-vocalist of the famous britisch Rockband "Queen". The song is "Dont stop me now".

Freddie Mercury was born on Sansibar. His parents were indian. In 1964 he moved to London. In 1970 he founded together with Brian May und Roger Taylor the band "Queen". They made very popular songs as "We Are the Champions", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".
In 1987, Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS.
In November 1991 Freddie Mercuy died.
In my eyes one of the best vocals ever!

I feel that it probably would have been very cool and memorable. I especially thought the art doodle had a very nice touch at the end when they drew Freddie in white flying to the ground like an "heavenly angel." This was indeed beautiful, I believe Freddie would have really loved this. I know one day someone will make a "google doodle/ cartoon" out of me using one of my songs someday b4 I God takes me to heaven. Anyway...Terrific job on such a fantasic & "totally smashing" birthday tribute!

That was sooo cool. I love the fact that "Google" paid homage to the immortal "Freddie Mercury" of Queen. It may have been the day after his birthday, but at least other people besides myself remembered his birthday. I loved that "Google" doodled pictures that were so lively and current to the times, especially with the "Super Ninetendo" super hero look and moves going in sync to the music of "Don't Stop Me Now." Great song, awesome birthday tribute.I personally wished that I could have met F.M.
